Mashed Potatoes

Here, have a photo of part of my dinner: Mashed redskin potatos with oregano, sauteed onion and garlic, black pepper, salt, milk, and butter.

Just don’t fuck it up like I did and undercook the garlic and add too much onion. ;)

Ack, hehe. That’s okay, I just cleaned the eyes off, cut the potatoes in big chunks, threw them in the water, then let them boil. While that was going I chopped the veggies and sauteed them, then threw it all in the stand mixer and whipped it up.

haha I love how for you its a casual thing but to most people thats too much work for a side dish.

then again…you do tend to eat things most people consider a side dish as an entire meal. entertaining.

Believe it or not, a wee bit of cream cheese can really make a batch of mashed potatos.

    These look quite tasty.

That does sound good. A friend’s wife also adds a sort of soured double cream. I really didn’t have much of anything like that available, though. Not even normal cream.

To make that mashed potatoes even more tasty, try adding some Ranch dressing powder into it. It’ll give a nice yummy flavor. But only if you like Ranch though.

Hheh, thanks for the suggestion, but that’s one I’d have to skip. I’m one of those people who really hates Ranch dressing.
