Leader?

I really think that the image in this post might be a leader connecting with the actual bolt of lightning itself. I’m going to email someone at a university (not sure who) yet to ask.
I checked the other photos taken just after that when I was trying to get the brightness of the sky right (and missing one other strike) and I don’t see anything like water on the lens.

you should have run out to buy a lottery ticket, coz damn, what are the odds of nailing something like THAT manually?

Heh. What if I also said that the photo there is the first lightning photo I’ve taken, and the only one ever?
I just stood on the porch, pointed the camera at the part of the sky which was having bolts showing up, and when i saw the next one I fully depressed the button.
I just emailed the director of a NASA lab (after the contact on the web page had his mail bounce) on lightning to see if he’s able to make something of it. Hopefully there will be a nifty response.
I’d say you’d better head to the corner shop and buy a couple tickets before it wears off.

I just hope the NASA guy responds… I’d really like to know if it’s what I think it is.
If it is, I’ve never seen a photo like that before, and I can’t find one online.
