360 and SG

I figure that I can find the spare $390 (total) for an Xbox 360 and a copy of Space Giraffe, but somehow I didn’t notice that 360 doesn’t have built in wireless networking. Arraugh. Everything else near my TV (Wii, TiVo) has a wireless connection, but the 360 doesn’t without spending an extra $100. Bah.

I’ll have to check to see if I still have the network line run over there (I don’t think I do), and if I can free up a port on the switch (I don’t think I can).

…which is the very reason my Wireless Router and Cable Modem are right next to my 360!

I tried the 360 Wireless Card with slim-to-nil success.

I found that I’ve got a line left in place, and I could disconnect my workbench’s network line in place of a 360, but I just can’t properly afford the 360 right now. I mean, I can, but I don’t want to… Savings accounts are coming first right now.

This pissed me off also. I had a fifty foot cord that I ran from my hub to the living room everytime I wanted to connect, based simply on the principle of not having to buy the $100 wireless adapter. I did get it as a Christmas gift last year, and I have had absolutely no trouble with the connection in that timeframe.
