ALDI

Huh.

ALDI’s brand of Raisin Bran is just as good as any other I’ve had, and at $1-something for a 16oz box.

Also, the $2-something frozen gourmet-ish pizzas from there are good.

Thus far I’m pretty impressed with the store.

I’ve been shopping there for a couple of years and haven’t had anything I didn’t like so far! :)

One has recently opened near my house, so I figured it was worthwhile to check it out. I’m glad I did.

I haven’t shopped there for years. I’ve been meaning to check them out again though. Good to know the selection of food has improved since I shopped there last.

I have yet to try the canned corn, but the aforementioned two ingredients seemed all right. Some of the other frozen things looked good as well, but I didn’t pick them up.

I love Aldi! I would recommend their yogurts too – except the whipped kind (I don’t like the texture). I find that their frozen veggies, and canned beans are a great price too.

If you really look around you can often find odd, gourmet type items or speciality cooking items too that might interest you.

Oh – and if you are eating fish – most of their frozen seafood are good deals too.

The nearest Aldi to me is either in Redford or Waterford, so I’ll have to make a trip out to one soon. One of the brothers that owns Aldi has an interest in Trader Joe’s as well.
