~4.5 Gallons of Yates Cider + 6 Pounds of Blueberries
Today I put some blueberry cider to ferment. That is, ~4.5 gallons of apple cider with 6 pounds of blueberries in it.
Hopefully it’ll be ready to drink in about a month to a month and a half.
More photos here (photo gallery retired).
Why is there an old sock in it. ;-)
*sigh* That is not the way to get us invited to taste it!
Hehe, that’s actually to contain most of the berries. hehe It’s really an unbleached cotton mesh bag. Some spilled over as I was filling it, though, so a few of the berries are actually floating around in the stuff as well.
Later, after primary fermentation, I’ll pull those ‘socks’, put the berries in a press, and press the remaining liquid and color from them and put it all to age. :)
It will hopefully be very good :D
Mmmmmmmm. That sounds amazing!
Looks like some kinky hooch, when’s the partay?
Probably NYE, my place. :)
I’ll get back to you on the RSVP. :>
Cold as f.u.c.k. then in Dtown?
yuuuuuummmo!
