Two Things:
1) If you have a Dell laptop, your battery will probably be recalled.
2) The UK may have its head out of its arse with regards to travel restrictions. If the beverage rules read the way I think they do, one can bring things on board which are purchased past security.
2) So long as you’re not going to the US. Otherwise, you’re still screwed: “In addition to the above, passengers boarding flights to the USA and items they are carrying, including those acquired after the central screening point, will be subjected to secondary search at the gate. Any liquids discovered will be removed from the passenger.”
