Intestine found at Holland Ponds
(Click for more moblog photos…)
Yesterday Danielle and I went wandering around Holland Ponds {Park | Nature Center} over near my house in Shelby Township. The original idea was to look at the nicely swollen (from the rain) Clinton River, but we ended up finding a few other interesting things. All I acquired photos of was the large piece of intestine seen above, and a number of pictures of snails:
· A handful of snails.
· A snail on a board.
· A snail eating some poo.
Also, here are some other moblog photos:
· Three enclosures for MIDIbox SID-NUXXs.
· Tasty banana nut bread from The Daily Grind in Utica.
· Apple Hardware Test running on my G5.
· Quick chilling some Jolly Pumpkin beer.
Uhm, yeah. That’s all for now. Time to get back to trying to figure out something…
Um… that’s large and gross. I don’t suppose you could cut that?
I couldn’t resist replying to this comment with ‘Thats what she said’. :D
curious – how do you know it is intestine and not some animal fetus or something else totally?
I was wondering the same thing. HOW does one identify that as intestine?
Well, it looks like one… With the bumpyness and stuff. A fetus would have more definition and probably less tearing.
It looks like one?
This is a little disturbing. Why would a piece of organ that looks neatly cut from something be lying around in a nature park?
Well, there are coyotes in that park. I saw one a few months prior and managed to get a photo of it.
It’s not that cleanly / neatly removed… It looks fairly torn out. I’m presuming it’s the icky leftovers from some animal being killed for food.
