Server Move

Things are progressing well with the server move. Except for email.
I’m having big problems with DreamHost’s email. I set up users and things just seem to never finish getting set up.
I’m not sure what’s going on yet… Hopefully tomorrow there will be someone who can explain to be what’s wrong and what is being done to fix it.

This is why I ran my own server before. Because if something was fucked up, it was my fault and I could only blame myself if things weren’t working right.
Option ‘B’ out of this whole thing is to drop ~$1400 on a new server and shuffle everything over to it. But then I’d have the same headaches as before.
I use dreamhost myself. I’m very fond of the service, except for the email. It does take a while for users to be added, then you have to deal with mailbox #’s instead of names, and it’s pretty unreliable. I’ve not lost mail, but the servers have been unavailable many times.
As far as what you get for the price though, I’ve not seen anyone out there that beats dreamhost, and the webhosting is VERY reliable. I haven’t been down yet.
