RAID
May 8, 2006
Oh, when at Gibralter Trade Center’s ‘Computer Show’ (to get the aforementioned DB25 cable) I was walking past a table of $25 laptops (old Zeniths and such) I heard the guy there saying to someone else “…oh, then you need a RAID. R-A-I-D. It’s what companies use. Have you ever heard of it?”
Yeah, it’s that kind of place.
I don’t know this RAID thing, but I do know what type of place it is. I NEVER listen to what those people say at the computer shows. I’ve bought a few things there, but only after making sure I knew what I was getting into.
Oh yeah… That place is definitely to be purchased from very carefully. The only reason I went there is because I needed a particular cable right then and there, and I knew some vendor would have it for eBay-like prices. And, it was something to do.
One of the previous times I was there, someone had a boot set up to sell photos with their tiger. And some other not-generally-kept-as-pet animal.
< sigh >
A Politician?
There is a reason many people from the area call it the dirt mall.
