My grandmother died from Alzheimer’s related issues nearly 12 years ago. I can barely remember her without the disease. It’s a horrible, horrible way to live and I have to say Yay for SanDisk. If only I hadn’t just bought two new flash drives.
I agree, and I think that such cross-promotion is a good thing… It just strikes me as a little bit silly to see flash drives with that branding on them.
It does walk a line. I can see some people getting offended and believing they’re making fun of the disease. I think, though, anyone who has lived through it knows you have to have a sense of humor. Some of the things sufferers do can be pretty funny if you don’t let yourself think about how sad it is. Like the time my grandmother got a butcher knife and chopped off her shoe laces because she couldn’t remember how to tie her shoes.
