Ahh… The video card has been removed from the G4 Cube and placed in the freezer. Why, you ask? Well, it seems I dorked in epoxying the heatsink on and I need to remove it*. I think I screwed up the application of epoxy and didn’t get an even layer on the GPU. So, I’m borrowing a tube of Arctic Silver Silver Thermal Adhesive from a friend and I’m going to reapply the heatsink. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. The only problem I can see running into is if I crack the GPU when removing the heatsink, if I can’t get the epoxy off of the heatsink, or of I fail to apply the adheasive properly. Again. We’ll see… Click on this for a picture of the card in the freezer…
* Removal is accomplished by chilling the card inside a baggie then popping the heatsink off with a screwdriver. I’ve done it before, we’ll see if it works this time.
That’s a lot of waffles!
That IS a lot of Waffles.
In YOUR freezer.
*GASP*
What sort of devious scheme are you up to, fiend?!
I think that John Ashcroft is going to be interested to see all that Flavor-ice in there, looks like terroristic supplies to me.
That is also an unsettingly clean freezer. Are you Seinfeld in disguise? I mean…zero ice build up, zero “mess”…either a clean freak is at hand or …or…or…I don’t know what.
Heh. Just because I don’t ever spill anything in my freezer makes me weird. :P
Actually, come October it’ll be around two years since that freezer has been cleaned.
Man…I think I’m just jealous that you have SO MUCH FREEZER as part of the fridge AND can keep it clean. Ours is an “apartment sized fridge” (which means the freezer is the size of a milk carton) and builds up ice so quick. We do have the big deep freeze though…saves our butts often. Our fridge freezer can’t even keep freezies frozen!! Hehehe
Hehe… Wow… I’ve never actually seen one of those in a place. I think it’s because I have a rather high quality (for 1992) fridge. When my grandparents lived here they always bought the best appliances, so I kinda got them, a few years down the line. Not a bad deal. They aren’t the most efficient things, but they work and didn’t make the price of the condo go up.
I think my freezer is actually at somewhere around 0°F. That’s -15°C or so, I think. Works well. Froze that video card nice and quick.
Are those pot pies down by the bottom? :)
Hehe… Chicken Teryaki bowls, actually. :)
Heh. Even better. Chicken Teraki is awesome. Uncle Ben’s? :)
Naw, random brand that Costco carries. It was something like $9 for six of them or something. Not a bad price at all.
I agree…
that IS a lot of waffles!
Do you shop with these people?
