Aphids! Again!

Arraugh. More aphids on my plants… At least I had some good aphid killer available this time.

Maybe I should just stick with herbs. the things which make them tasty to people make them untasty to bothersome bugs.

    MY PLANTS TOO!!

And I had gotten them down to one plant, my eensy red pepper plant of New Holocaust Flavor hotness, and it was quarantined away from the other plants and things were going well. Then the goddamn idiot workmen that the apartment complex contracted came to fix some shit on the porch (which they carried off with spectacularly inept aplomb) and they moved all my plants out of the way and grouped them together and now the YELLOW PEPPER and the BLACK TOMATO plants have aphids!

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!

Never mind we received no notification they were doing this; never mind that they replaced some rotted slats in the porch railing and put them on BACKWARDS and UPSIDE DOWN; or that they used the wrong size screws and the points came out the other side of the banister and so if you walk too close you have to factor in a tetanus shot to your day; no, all those things weren’t enough. They had to touch my plants too.

      :(

Just go buy some some of the spray mentioned in this post, nicely soak the plants, and all will be good.

Oh I have sprays. And I can get ladybugs when I need them. I am well versed in getting rid of aphids. It’s just the time lost patiently cultivating and getting rid of them ruined in one fell swoop that’s annoying. I’m less mad at the aphids than the pitifully bad workmen.

Yeah, that’s true. What’s nice here is that there are aphids on my salvia, but none of the other plants. Probably because they are herbs / chilis.

    Get some ladybugs?

Too long term. I want them dead sooner than that so they don’t kill some of the plants. :\
