Exploded Lithium Ion Battery Pack

So my friend Jeff (for whom I host http://gallery.tehlunix.com) for is an avid biker. As such, he has a lithium ion battery pack for the headlight on his bike. Well, it exploded when he was charging it. Click here or on the photo above for images of the damage.

    There’s a reason I tend to spend extra on good batteries and not knockoffs, same with the chargers.

      Lately I’ve taken to only charging batteries when I’m in the house… But… Yeah. I’m reconsidering my third party Canon battery pack. Although I’d hope the Targus brand wouldn’t be slapped on something too awful.
