After a recommendation from I keep trying to find a way to utilize Flying Meat‘s VoodooPad. This is a sort of desktop wiki system that has ready support for publishing notes online, to iPods, or all sorts of other places. It seems like it would be really useful for getting a handle on random little notes that I have, but I’m not quite sure where to start.
Yeah, I hear you. I started using it and then have kind of weaned off of it for a while now. I am trying to work out a personal information system that I can use pretty much anywhere – but NOT being a PDA. Still brainstorming, but if I figure something earthshattering out – I will let you know. :)
That’s kinda where I am, too. I fired it up this morning and moved some notes into it, but I’m thinking that straight up text files still might be the most useful. It’s just a little bit… too… free form.
I think you kinda need to come up with a strategy for linking, etc. Or sub-dividing. I noticed that the newest version has a few new features – like “Backlinks” – so you can see what pages link to the one you are currently on…
I think I will give it another go – but I am actually thinking moreso lately about index cards, ala the “Hipster PDA” at 43 Folders.

Seems like something cheap to experiment with, too. :)
