Making, baking, and (un-)breaking things in Southeast Michigan.

:D

Ahh, nothing like a good old February car wash to brighting the spirits. There is something I rather enjoy about sitting in the self-serve car wash bay all bundled up, spritzing the wheels with Simple Green (it does a great job on brake dust when it’s too cold to scrub), soaping the car up with the brush, then cleaning it off with the pressure washer. Sure, it doesn’t look as great as it would in the summer, but at least all the salt and such is off…

…for a few days, at least.

Hehe… I wish it was warmer so I could do it outside. :)

Oh! Dont use the brush! They are full of dirt and will scratch the paint!!

Not if you make a point to thoroughly rinse it first. ;)

I so need to do this and haven’t found the money or time – I need to add it to my list of things to do when I get paid next week! :)

  4. I miss the self serve car washes, there are none in NoVA. Car washes here are way over priced, about 10 bucks minimum.

Woah, man. That’s REALLY high. I opted to spend about $5 at the self-serve wash instead of the el-cheapo $2 wash at M-59 and M-53. I wanted to be certain I took the time to scrub (the best I could with a brush) the brake dust off of the wheels. The self-serve places just don’t do a good enough job with that. :\
