I keep meaning to get a white board for home as it is good for planning out bits of science and maths and for planning out programs. We’ve got them all other the place at work, but unfortunately not here at home.
That was me again, sorry! :D
Exactly. I’d liked having them for thinking out things, but never had a good one.
Lately I’ve taken to keeping a 1cm pile of letter-sized paper around for the same thing, though, so it remains to be seen if I actually use a whiteboard. The best part about the paper is that I don’t have to turn my head to read it; I just look down from the keyboard. This is my typical setup at work, although now with the paper landscape, a newer laptop, and a different location (mostly).
We have two decent-sized whiteboards in the house, one in the living room and the other in the bedroom.
If I wasn’t so cheap I’d probably have a couple more. From what I was seeing it’s $30 – $40 for the shiny-face ones, and over $100 for the nice glass ones which will last for years.
Weirdly, the lab I’ve been working in just received two whiteboards of this size. I’m really amazed they don’t have full-on white walls.
