Wow… that’s already getting up there. Did you post this anywhere else?

Nope, nowhere else. The first couple of bids seemed to come from LJ, although the higher bidder (as of initial listing) was someone who didn’t seem to be on my friend’s list. I’m not sure how they found out about it.

At $910 with >5 days left, I’m pretty happy. Hopefully it’ll go far higher.

I don’t mean to brag, but I can’t help but think that the photos play a big part towards getting high bids. In the past similarly-listed auctions have sold things like camera lenses and such for 5% – 10% less than a brand new item would be.

Gah… I just need to pull the trigger while I can still get good money for mine. Just checked ebay for completed 2.7’s, and they’re going for a pretty good dollar. With fees and all that, it’ll be about $500 to upgrade. I just don’t like having to buy the new one first (to transfer everything), then waiting for the old one to sell… especially when I’m trying to pay crap off.

But, it’s just money, right? :)

I’d do it ASAP, if I were you. If you think about it, that’s $500 for a machine which will likely last you another three years of regular use. Just toss it on a CC, send the funds from PayPal straight to checking, then right on to the CC. Then backfill the CC with the remainder. That’s what I’m doing. Or, what I hope to do. ;)

I don’t know if you saw, but mine’s already up to $1025 and it’s not closing until ~10pm EDT on Thursday.
