Mac Pro!

Woo! I had to go to the back of a very odd location in Pontiac to actually be able to pick up the Mac Pro, but it’s now in the trunk of my car. Since it was signature required and I wouldn’t be home to collect it, I made arrangements to pick it up. Thankfully a rather strong, very friendly person carried it out for me and placed it in the trunk of the car.
Now I want to go home. :D

My husband got one of those like 2 months ago, I remember the apple store guy and a security guy wheeling the machine to our car. God that is a heavy machine.
He recently upgraded the memory I think to 4 gigs.

Heh, thanks. Fortunately it’s only the walk from the garage to the office, through the kitchen and living room, past the bathroom. And it’s only 56lbs… Shouldn’t be bad at all. I’m more worried about shipping the old one.
What does he use the 4GB for? I’m immediately (the FB-DIMMs are next to me in my backpack) moving mine to 3GB, since 1 is too little for virtualizing stuff and editing large photos.
Mmm. Shiny fast computer! Oh, I need to think of a hostname for it. Eek!
he is a programmer and cto for his company so he needs super fast compiling to move his day along. He also runs a lot of apps and a lot more. Most of the time he has about 10 programs running at a time.
Haha, yeah that terminal was built in an old grocery store – it is really awful. The new terminal that services your area will be opening July 13. It is in Orion Township, I believe.
