HobNobs

HobNobs!

Plain HobNobs, my favorite biscuits.
(Click for more moblog photos…)

Thanks, Jungle Jim’s. I now have plain HobNobs, my favorite biscuit. I wish the normal importers brought them in, not just the chocolate-coated varieties.

Now, to mentally prep for a phone conversation with a recruiter. And do some electronics work.

    That’s so English.

I’ve never been there but my experiences in import shops have led me to believe there is a dearth of good marketing copy in the food industry over there, especially when I saw ‘Flavored Salad Cream.’ Which is weird since we share so many food companies.

Or maybe we all are more accustomed being sold food based on flash as opposed to it’s longstanding reputation for tasting good?

Also, that store is fabulous. Absolutely amazing.

I guess so. I’m willing to be the same amount of advertising and focus groups goes into selling each, it just seems so . . . odd to see things called as they are. ‘Oaty’ just doesn’t seem like a word that would make people buy things, especially in the US.

        Definitely a cultural thing.

          Mmmm….. oats!

There’s a Jungle Jim’s 40 minutes from my house – I keep meaning to get there one of these weekends and never make it. :(

That’s the only one. Go ASAP. We drove 40 minutes to get there and it was *very* worth it.

There should be some sort of trade between the UK and US when it comes to biscuits.

We send you McVitie’s, you send us Oreos. It’d work well.

You’re welcome to all the Oreos you’d like.

      However, Oreos are cookies. ;)
