1) The new 320GB disks in my G5 are a lot quieter.
2) Carbon Copy Cloner does a great job of duplicating OS X disks.

what brand did you get for the drives?
Seagates. These drives right here. They are basically the newer version of what shipped with my G5.
Now, the question is if I should buy another pair for the new server, or stick with the 160s.
I am running a pair of 300GB Maxtors in my G4. I use CCC to do a nightly bootable mirror to the second drive. Works great!
