Food.

That’s a good part of tonight’s dinner. Here is all of it. Yes, roasted crimini mushrooms on a baguette with extra sharp cheddar, Downey’s Potato Chips (made in Waterford!), and Bell’s Wheat Love Ale.

Here are some of the mushrooms before they were roasted.

Uhh, my beer is also coming along nicely. And I don’t feel like writing much tonight.

I did take this cool split-second photo of a bubble racing through the airlock when playing around with my macro lens and the camera, though.

Really? It’s just mushrooms and garlic.

What kind of foods do you like?

I wonder how many people have puked after seeing that photo. :-P Seriously, some food photos you post are amazingly disgusting looking. No offense.

A detailed photo of roasted mushrooms is disgusting looking?

You must not like mushrooms or something…

Would you prefer that I start photographing bloody meat?

You aren’t getting it…I am just saying that sometimes what you find appealing, deems gross to others. A lot of people don’t like mushrooms or that wort you were boiling, now THAT was gross. I thought it was a toilet at first.

But all in seriousness, I do like mushrooms, but sometimes, there are images of food that should NOT be displayed…

          Woops, that was me…

Interesting. Next time I make some nice pasta or something, I’ll be sure to take a nice up-close image of it and see if that provokes a similar reaction.

It amazes me how out of touch some people are with foods that they purport to like.

          2. dance2dark February 7, 2006

Its not an out of touch thing…I am not sure how to explain it or if there are others out there that can…people are different as we know it and react differently than how you would to things. You may feel that people are so called “out of touch.” But that’s your opinion as what I am saying here is mine.

However, there are a lot of foods that I have seen you post about or try that takes a person of a so called “acquired” taste to approach.

      That’s all I’m sayin’…
