Help?

If there is anyone who reads this who knows anything about writing widgets for OS X’s Dashboard, could you take a look at this widget and let me know why it’s not working?

I really, really just don’t know why.

Or, I guess if you just want to try it and see what happens, that wouldn’t be a bad idea either… For me it just.doesn’t.work.

    It didn’t work for me. It loaded into the widget bar, but clicking on it resulted in nothing.

      Here’s the problem… Despite what the Apple developer docs for Dashboard say about defining DefaultImage in the .plist file, it seems that no matter what it’s set to, it loads Default.png. Time to see if it’s a known issue.

    Hey, Steve.

    At the moment, I’m looking into possibly purchasing either a PowerBook or a an iBook. Considering what I’ll be using it for (as a mode of communication and homework competion while studying abroad), is it worth-while for me to purchase a PowerBook, or will I be fine with an iBook?

    Also, I’m having a hard time envisioning what the monitor would look like. Is 14″ a decent size, or do people generally think it to be too small?

      If you’re just going to be doing web/email/music/multimedia stuff, an iBook would be just fine. Also, the plastic case is, in my opinion, a bit more durable.

      That said, I personally like the feeling of the keyboard on the PowerBooks more.

      I’d say go take a look at the Apple store at both 12″ PowerBooks and iBooks. And honestly, get the 12″. The resolution is the same as the 14″, and the much smaller size is a really nice change especially when you are carrying it around.

      Oh, and for bags, go to http://www.radtech.us. They sell bags made by StandardTM, and they are really high quality and rather nice. And unlike the US bags they don’t have brands/logos all over them, so they don’t scream out I CONTAIN AN EXPENSIVE COMPUTER.
