Does anyone know an EE, or know where I can find (at a reasonable price, or the plans to make) a 12v DC to 12v DC transformer? I want to electrically isolate my iPod from the rest of the car.
Oh, and no, the problem still isn’t solved. :(
You could put a relay on the output of the radio shack widget that will cut the power coming from the widget once the ignition is switched off. This would effectively stop the cap from continuing to supply power to the iPod. Just a thought.
I was thinking of that anyway, but the power gets cut already. I just wanted a way to completely isolate the power. I found a 12VDC -> 12VDC transformer online that will do it, but it’s really pricy. < pout >
