While showering today I noticed that the water was draining slowly, almost as if it was being filtered through something large before heading down the pipes. After I finished and got dressed I removed the drain cover and found the above mass of hair, mold, and soap scum inside. Now that Danielle is essentially living here and Roxie is occasionally bathed in the shower I need to remember to clean out the drain a bit more often. That, or I need to ensure that both Danielle and Roxie’s hair is kept as short as mine. I think the former will be better received and more productive.
Remember kids, only you can prevent plumbing backups.
I’ve had to unblock both kitchen and bathroom sinks recently. I don’t whether it’s because I might be slowly losing my hair more these days, or perhaps I’m less likely to be at home given the PhD work, but for both sinks to block within a week of each other is a bit coincidental.. :(
