Honey Lemon Ginger Tea (More)

About

Here's a nice spicy tea. I first made it when feeling sick because it helps with a sore throat and cough, but it's also good for just sipping and relaxing. Truely a great drink.

Ingredients

  • One Large Lemon
  • 1/2 Cup of Honey (Raw, if possible)
  • 1/4 Cup of Grated Fresh Ginger
  • Four Cups of Water

Steps

  • Bring four cups of water to a boil in a slightly oversided pot.
  • After the water is boiling, turn off the heat. Add the 1/4 cup of grated fresh ginger.
  • Juice the lemon, adding the juice to the pot, then add the two rinds of the juiced lemon.
  • Let the contents of the pot steep for 20 minutes.
  • After the lemon and ginger has steeped, remove the lemon peel and strain out the bits of grated ginger.
  • Stir the 1/2 cup of honey into the hot liquid. I find that it helps to use a wisk to ensure that all the honey is dissolved.
  • The tea is done! Serve either warm or over ice.
