About
I originally got this recipe from allrecipes.com, but I thought the name was dumb. So I changed it slightly. This is a really great recipe for a complex, multi-textured, and generally tasty cookie. It's gone over well at various parties and gatherings, with both family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/4 Teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Mace
- 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 1 Cup Butter (Softened)
- 1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar (Packed)
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Milk
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup Cornflakes Cereal
- 3 Cups Rolled Oats
- 1/2 Cup Flaked Coconut
- 2 Cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
Oven Temperature
350°F
Steps
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside.
- In the mixer's work bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
- Beat the eggs into the mix one at a time.
- Add the milk and vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the sifted ingredients to the mixture until well blended.
- Either using a dough hook on a mixer, or by hand, stir in the cornflakes, oats, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
- Using your hands, form the dough into walnut-sized balls.
- Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on a buttered cookie sheet. Slightly flatten the dough balls.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Store cookies in an air-tight container.
