About

I originally got this recipe from allrecipes.com, but I thought the name was dumb. So I changed it slightly. This is a really great recipe for a complex, multi-textured, and generally tasty cookie. It's gone over well at various parties and gatherings, with both family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/4 Teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Mace
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Butter (Softened)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar (Packed)
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Cornflakes Cereal
  • 3 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Flaked Coconut
  • 2 Cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts

Oven Temperature

350°F

Steps

  • Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside.
  • In the mixer's work bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  • Beat the eggs into the mix one at a time.
  • Add the milk and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  • Gradually add the sifted ingredients to the mixture until well blended.
  • Either using a dough hook on a mixer, or by hand, stir in the cornflakes, oats, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
  • Using your hands, form the dough into walnut-sized balls.
  • Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on a buttered cookie sheet. Slightly flatten the dough balls.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store cookies in an air-tight container.
