Hey there, I enjoyed your review of the Honda Music Link. I had already ordered
mine before reading your article, and given that I usually take internet reviews
with a grain of salt (nothing personal), I kept the order and just recently had
the unit installed. I have to pretty much agree with everything you wrote. I
have a Civic Si without navigation, and I use a Windows PC (78 gig music
library). I had a similar experience all around, though I did have one more
surprise. Nothing published by Honda notes that the HML is incompatible with 3G
(non-click-wheel) iPod, which I have (purchased new in mid 2004). Fortunately my
wife's iPod Mini IS compatible with the HML and I use that with the car. So my
biggest gripes are that track information is not displayed on the head-unit of
the car (MAJOR annoyance, especially considering I often shuffle all songs and
then want to check the title/artist of a song that is playing), and the fact
that Honda does not warn people of the unit's limited compatibility. Also, it
would be so much nicer if you could select an artist, then list the albums of
that artist, instead of the single-tier menu structure the unit has.

At any rate, I wanted to thank you for your in-depth review (the link to which I
will be forwarding to my Honda dealer) and to let you know that you're not the
only one with these problems.

Regards,

Steven Boender
