In light of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2008\/06\/23\/worn-cone\/\">aforementioned bearing problem<\/a> and the ongoing bent wheel issue I decided to order a new set of wheels, and a front brake to match the <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2008\/06\/22\/2007-avid-bb7\/\">Avid BB7 fitted last night<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I ended up ordering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepoint.com\/detail\/14238-365_MAVXT5-3-Parts-75-Wheelsets\/Shimano-XT-M756-Disc-Wheelset-w\/-Mavic-717-Rims.htm\">this Shimano XT M756 \/ Mavic XC 717 wheelset<\/a> which was $239.98, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepoint.com\/detail\/12605-115_AVDMD3-3-Parts-158-Brakes\/Disc\/Avid-BB7-Disc-Brake---Mechanical-160mm-2007.htm\">a 160mm Front version of the 2007 Avid BB7<\/a> for $54.98.<\/p>\n<p>So, now I just wait. It&#8217;ll probably be a week or so before I get the brake and wheels, and I&#8217;ll only have a usable bike after I put all of that together. Unfortunately I&#8217;m already antsy to ride more.<\/p>\n<p>Even if I were to put what I have back together the front bearing would require some special wrenches and lots of time to adjust the bearings, and they&#8217;d be really questionable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I won&#8217;t be riding my bike for a while.
