{"id":8347,"date":"2006-07-30T18:10:00","date_gmt":"2006-07-30T22:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2006\/07\/30\/midibox-sid-nuxx-boards-complete\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T11:34:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T15:34:41","slug":"midibox-sid-nuxx-boards-complete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2006\/07\/30\/midibox-sid-nuxx-boards-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"MIDIbox SID-NUXX Boards Complete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4528-scaled.jpg\" height=640 width=378><\/center><\/p>\n<p>There we go, the three <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nuxx.net\/wiki_archive\/A\/MIDIbox_SID-NUXX\">MIDIbox SID-NUXX<\/a>s which I&#8217;m assembling.<\/p>\n<p>The top one is <lj user=anatome>&#8216;s, and is fully setup and working using one of the SIDs which <lj user=entropicdude> was nice enough to send me. I just have to drop <lj user=anatome>&#8216;s SID into it and it&#8217;ll be ready to go. Oh, and maaaaybe change the resistors, depending on how the LEDs look with those. (The LEDs will generally be brightness matched to the LCD.)<\/p>\n<p>The other two are mine, with the top one being a 12V version for a 6581 SID, and the bottom being 9V for an 8580. Neither of these have been fitted with their socketed ICs, and I also left out the resistors which control LED brightness. Of course, this means that neither of mine have been tested, but they <em>should<\/em> work.<\/p>\n<p>With any luck I&#8217;ll have a pair of OLEDs to play with sometime within the next few days. Provided these work as expected, they are what I&#8217;ll be using to display things on my MIDIbox SID-NUXXs. <lj user=anatome>&#8216;s will get the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crystalfontz.com\/products\/2002a-color\/index.html#CFAH2002ARMIJP\">CFAH2002A-RMI-JP<\/a> which can be seen <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IMG_4406-scaled.jpg\">here, not set right, and very overexposed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>< smile > This is finally all coming together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There we go, the three MIDIbox SID-NUXXs which I&#8217;m assembling.
