{"id":4204,"date":"2012-04-19T10:50:20","date_gmt":"2012-04-19T14:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/?p=4204"},"modified":"2012-04-19T10:50:20","modified_gmt":"2012-04-19T14:50:20","slug":"boulevard-connector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2012\/04\/19\/boulevard-connector\/","title":{"rendered":"Boulevard Connector?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><\/p>\n<table cellpadding=1>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"black\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/gallery\/v\/travel\/local_places\/biking\/P4170005.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/gallery\/d\/101171-2\/P4170005.jpg\" height=480 width=640 border=0 title=\"The base of the connector from Kern to the Paint Creek Trail is still under construction, but it looks like it may end up as a boulevard.\"><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>While out riding to Lake Orion and back on Tuesday I noticed that the construction of the connector between the <a href=\"http:\/\/paintcreektrail.org\">Paint Creek Trail<\/a> and the Kern Road safety path (near the Clarkston \/ Kern \/ PCT intersection) is nearing completion and it appears that the base of it will split into a boulevard (with a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Central_reservation\">median \/ central reservation<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>If this is the case and the extra path isn&#8217;t just for construction access it&#8217;ll be nice. This is a notoriously blind corner and coming down this path towards the PCT currently requires some careful looking and neck craning to be sure one doesn&#8217;t ride out in front of someone else.
