Shorts Brewing Company’s Bourbon Barrel Soaked Sustenance Black Beer<\/a> is not currently available in stores, but when up at their pub this past weekend<\/a> they had six packs available for around $17. I hadn’t tried this before, but it sounded good and so we picked up a pack.<\/p>\n

This beer is good.<\/p>\n

I’m strongly reminded of New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk<\/a>, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had a fresh bottle of it, and I really think that Short’s beer is better. I’m just slowly sipping this, and the glass will probably be empty in an hour or so. It’s also only 6.5%<\/a>, which surprised me a bit.<\/p>\n
