{"id":18087,"date":"2015-02-09T23:29:11","date_gmt":"2015-02-10T04:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/?p=18087"},"modified":"2020-11-17T16:07:54","modified_gmt":"2020-11-17T21:07:54","slug":"low-cost-29-stand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2015\/02\/09\/low-cost-29-stand\/","title":{"rendered":"Low-Cost 29+ Stand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/gallery\/v\/stuffivemade\/fat_bike_stand\/IMG_8343.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"29+ version of the Fat Bike Stand, with the rear wheel from the Jones Plus.\" src=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/gallery\/d\/107782-3\/IMG_8343.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Building on the <a title=\"Low-Cost Fat Bike Stand\" href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2011\/11\/28\/low-cost-fat-bike-stand\/\">Low-Cost Fat Bike Stand<\/a>&nbsp;idea and needing a way to support the forthcoming <a title=\"Parts for Jones Plus Build\" href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2015\/01\/20\/parts-for-jones-plus-build\/\">Jones Plus build<\/a>&nbsp;I&#8217;ve built a 29+ bike stand from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Polyvinyl_chloride\">PVC<\/a>&nbsp;pipe. By taking the <a title=\"Low-Cost Fat Bike Stand\" href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2011\/11\/28\/low-cost-fat-bike-stand\/\">previous plans<\/a>,&nbsp;narrowing the main section, and adding length and height I got something which securely holds a 29+ (700c x 3.0&#8243;) wheel.<\/p>\n<p>Modifications to the original plan involve narrowing the center pieces by 1&#8243;, adding 0.5&#8243; to each support leg, adding 1&#8243; to the pieces between the upright and the back side, lengthening&nbsp;the horizontal pieces for an 11.75&#8243; opening, and increasing the height of the upright for a 25.5&#8243; opening.
