The ride went great, and the only difficulties I encountered were feeling a bit blah at the start, then having to ride on freshly graded roads for a while neat the end. The weather was excellent, traffic was light, and I had no problems with cars. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2013\/08\/10\/rotating-bicycle-cue-sheet\/\">rotating cue sheet<\/a>\u00a0that I put together last night worked great, and I think I&#8217;ll use this technique for other rides in the future.\u00a0I even happened across this conveniently located portable toilet in the construction zone on the southeast corner of <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?ll=42.889944,-83.042943&amp;spn=0.002236,0.002323&amp;t=h&amp;z=19\">Van Dyke and Boardman<\/a> roads where I stopped for a few minutes and had a bit of <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2013\/05\/26\/home-made-protein-bars\/\">home made protein bar<\/a> to eat before carrying on.<\/p>\n<p>At one point while heading north on Dequinder I was kept company by <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/gallery\/v\/travel\/local_places\/biking\/DSCF0174.jpg.html\">these tire marks<\/a>, which seemed to alternate between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.specialized.com\/us\/en\/ftb\/mtb-tires\/xc-trail-tires\/the-captain-control\">Specialized The Captain<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxxis.com\/Bicycle\/Mountain\/CrossMark.aspx\">Maxxis CrossMark<\/a> patterns. I think that two people, alternating position, must have ridden through there shortly before I did. Other than this, I didn&#8217;t encounter anyone else riding outside of parks or rail trails.<\/p>\n<p>Other eventful things included: being near lots of cows, seeing a bunch of beautiful houses and orchards along Boardman, watching a crane stand in a fresh-cut lawn watching someone finish mowing, and being briefly chased by a dog.
