However, after a few cycles of removing the valve and washing them the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/O-ring\">o-rings<\/a> become dry and the valve is hard to reinsert and doesn&#8217;t move very slowly.<\/p>\n<p>I have some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petrolgel.com\/\">Petrol-Gel<\/a> lubricant for maintaining beer\u00a0dispensing\u00a0equipment, so I figured I&#8217;d give it a go on these seals. It worked great; a very light application to\u00a0the o-rings and the inside of the valve seat in the lid restores the original smooth action of the valve.
