With the longer-than-hoped-for winter and the predictions of snowy and icy roads during the race I figured it&#8217;d be best to bring a bike with big, fat tires. I think it&#8217;ll be fun, too.<\/p>\n<p>Built <a href=\"https:\/\/nuxx.net\/blog\/2011\/12\/31\/mukluk-fork-light-first-draft\/\">up at the very end of 2011<\/a> this light has worked out extremely well for night time and winter riding. I won&#8217;t need it during the race, the days are rapidly getting longer, and after the race I&#8217;m anticipating most of my riding happening on a different bike, so I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;ll be needed much more for now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This evening I removed the front and rear lights from the Mukluk 2\u00a0and washed it in preparation for Barry-Roubaix.
